"We'll Keep You On Your Toes "
Hailing from Kendal in South Cumbria on the very edge of the Lake District, we are a lively group of musicians who play traditional Celtic ceilidh music with a swing to keep you dancing. We play a full range of jigs, reels, polkas, and other tunes we also feature folk songs to let the dancers get their breath back.

Rascal Fayre is one of the newer ceilidh Bands in our area, but is made up of five experienced folk musicians who’ve been performing in the North West in public for a combined total of over 80 years! We specialise in playing for ceilidhs, and barn dances but will also turn out a song to give the dancers a rest. Based on a varied range of instruments - which includes guitar, fiddle, tenor guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, flute, percussion and whistles - the Rascal Fayre Band’s upbeat sound has been the foundation of many successful events.
We strive within Rascal Fayre Ceilidh Band to ensure a great time for everybody - and can guarantee an enjoyable, and fun-packed evening of jigs, reels, polkas hornpipes and songs suitable for any celebration, be it a wedding, anniversary, birthday party, fundraiser, corporate event or just a night of good fun.
We utilise some of Cumbria’s finest dance callers to explain and lead the dances throughout the evening, and we are as happy to play for absolute beginners as well as for seasoned dancers. We recently have introduced a Family Ceilidh event in Kendal to introduce the young to the thrill of a Ceilidh dance. Great nights have been had by all and we're now busy planning another evening later in the year in Kendal - see news.
We hold public liability insurance and the equipment has had the necessary electrical safety tests undertaken (PAT).
The Band will even don fancy dress as shown here on a 'Pirates & Princesses Party'!

"- you were all 'brilliant' - we will definitely be hiring you all again - the kids loved it - Jo"
